St. Therese of Lisieux is also known “The Little Flower.” She was born on January 2, 1873 in Alençon, France. At the age of 15, she entered the Carmelite convent in Lisieux. she died at 24 years old on September 30, 1897, however, she had a huge impact on the Church through her spirituality.

She is very well known for her “Little Way.” She focus was on performing everything, even the small, meaningless tasks with simplicity, humility, and trust in God’s love. She believed that if she offered up the mundane actions in llife with love, she would be able to achieve great holiness. She also had completely surrendered her life to God. he wanted to be known as “a little child” before God.

She was canonized by Pope Pius XI in 1925, and in 1997 she was declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope John Paul II.

St. Therese Of Lisieux is the patron of florists, gardeners, and missionaries.
